Because it allows our services to be accessible, powerful, interactive, nimble, and flexible. Upgrades and improvements are made quickly and seamlessly.
The WAN model (wide-area network, hosted internally on a local server in an office) is both limited and labor-intensive. Updating is expensive, difficult and time-consuming. "Backup and restore" functions though critical are cumbersome and require system shutdown. None of these is an issue with Dental Symphony.
Dental Symphony requires only a dependable, high-speed Internet connection to be available. It provides security, “invisible’ backup services, and 24/7 availability. Since our applications are hosted on redundant servers, no hardware crash will erase your data. Our applications are available wherever you've got an Internet connection.
HOW SECURE ARE MY RECORDS?
Storage - When you use Dental Symphony, your computer connects to any one of several commercial-grade servers. Data is encrypted as it moves back and forth between our servers and your connection. Your data is Thawte® Secured. Thawte provides your data 128-bit encryption. Thawte is a leading world provider of data-transmission security. Your data is subject to the same level of encryption required of banks and financial institutions. Encrypted data is unreadable except with the encryption key within Dental Symphony.
The advantages to you - Your patient records are safer and more secure in Dental Symphony than they are sitting in manila folders on a shelf in your office. They won't get lost, stolen, or burned in a fire. Improper access to your patient records is much more difficult. Download your records to your hard drive at any time.
HOW DENTAL SYMPHONY APPLICATIONS RELATES TO YOUR PRACTICE MANAGEMENT APPLICATION
They complement it. Dental Symphony’s modules support your clinical activity. They do not handle insurance, account management, or scheduling. Dental Symphony’s clinical tools offer vast improvements in usability and output over conventional practice management clinical features.
Dental Symphony’s modules integrate with major practice management applications* by sharing their patient information and treatment planning directly (on command)—greatly saving staff and professional time and reducing opportunities for error from the unnecessary reentry of information.
*Compatible systems currently include PracticeWorks.
SUPPORT
Because of Dental Symphony’s ease of use, support is not the issue that is it is with other applications. But support is available in a number of ways. Dental Symphony offers extensive internal support and guided processes to help you. Also available is chat support that immediately connects you with a live support representative. Alternatively, email and phone message support is available for users. Direct onsite support is available on a fee basis.

The Clinical Team consists of distinguished individuals who have created the libraries and point-of-care support information that gives Dental Symphony its distinctive character and its underlying value. They maintain oversight of the clinical information to keep Dental Symphony relevant to the ongoing practice of dentistry.
FREE TRIAL
Every subscription comes with a full-functioning 45-day free trial. You may switch between modules or try various combinations during your free trial. Paid subscribers may try additional modules on an additional 45-day free trial. At the end of the trial you are required to begin monthly subscription payments to maintain access to your account. If you choose to cancel your subscription, all of your Dental Symphony patient information can be downloaded in PDF format at no cost.
